Avnet Electronics Marketing introduces a new series of on-demand training seminars for designers of embedded applications based on the Xilinx® Zynq®‑7000 All Programmable SoC architecture. This design seminar series features three online courses built around smarter vision, integrated software-defined radio, and motor control system design.
Featuring Avnet technical experts along with our technology partners Analog Devices and MathWorks, these on-demand seminars combine informative presentations with interactive demonstrations. The training is recommended equally for engineers who are new to SoC design as well as system architects seeking to broaden their options for integration or performance enhancements.
This module introduces students to the Xilinx Smarter Vision offering, featuring the Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC, complemented with Vivado®, a robust development environment consisting of IP Integrator and Vivado HLS (High-Level Synthesis), Open CV libraries, SmartCORE™ IP and video development kits.
This module introduces wireless communication system design on the new Avnet Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC / AD9361 Software-Defined Radio Evaluation Kit featuring Analog Devices AD9361 single-chip RF agile transceiver. An IEEE 802.11 receiver example will demonstrate system-level simulation using MATLAB® and Simulink® modeling and code generation tools from MathWorks. Using the Xilinx Vivado® Design Suite, the system will be implemented for production showing the receiver detecting 802.11 beacon frames in a stand-alone system running UBUNTU desktop Linux on Xilinx Zynq All Programmable SoC. Presentations will alternate with instructor-led demos to illustrate coding techniques within MathWorks and Xilinx development tools for high-speed digital signal processing.
This module bridges the gap between systems engineering and hardware design by introducing an automated tool flow using Simulink® modeling for simulation and C / HDL code generation targeting the Xilinx Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC. Learn how algorithm iterations can be evaluated in simulation, then quickly prototyped on hardware directly from Simulink and deployed into production using the Xilinx Vivado® Design Suite. An example of Field Oriented Control of a Brushless DC motor will be demonstrated on the Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC / Analog Devices Intelligent Drives Kit, featuring Analog Devices high-precision signal chain and Linux framework reference design.
