DC/DC Converters (Integrated FETs)
The TPS54062 is a 60 V input, 50 mA step-down regulator and integrates both high-side and low-side MOSFETs. The low side MOSFET emulates a power diode and keeps the converter from sinking current at lighter loads to achieve high efficiency while saving board space. The TPS54062 is ideal for powering 4-20 mA current loop sensors or providing a low power bias voltage. The TPS54062 is available in an 8-pin MSOP package.
The TPS54260 device is a 60 V, 2.5 A, non-synchronous step-down regulator with an integrated high side MOSFET. The family includes 1.5 A (TPS54160) and 0.5 A (TPS54060) versions that are pin compatible for easy design scalability. To achieve high light-load efficiency, the device features a pulse skipping Eco-Mode. The TPS54260 is available in 10-pin thermally enhanced MSOP Power Pad or 3 x 3 mm SON package.
DC/DC Controller (External MOSFETs)
The TPS40170 is a feature-rich synchronous PWM buck controller that is optimized for high-power density and can support output currents up to 20-A with high efficiency. The device’s low 75 ns minimum on-time supports low output voltages to avoid double conversion. The TPS40170 is available in a 20 pin 3.5 x 4.5 mm QFN package.
Linear Regulator
The 50 mA TPS7A4001 linear regulator has excellent noise performance (65 dB PSRR at 100 Hz and 58 μVRMS output noise) and is stable with any type of output capacitor, including ceramic, greater than 4.7 μF. The TPS7A4001 is available in a high thermal performance 8-pin MSOP Power PAD Package.
